If you are a serious athlete or a physician, Jennifer Prosser is the woman you need to see. My partner and I were up in Durango for a weekend getaway. Elevation is a small suite of rooms on the 2nd floor of a building on the main drag of Durango. The atmosphere is pleasant. But what sets it apart is the practitioner. The owner is only body worker I’ve met who understands the physiology behind muscle flexion and relaxation, injury and healing. It was a joy to receive a massage from her (one of the best ever)! I’ve received massages from all around the world. This massage ranked in my top two, ever. There are other outfits in the area with decent masseuses, but why settle?
While I was on vacation in Durango I needed a spray tan for a friend’s wedding. I’ve had countless spray tans in Dallas and this was by far the best spray tan I’ve ever had. Jennifer was thorough and the color came out amazingly even. I looked like I had been on a beach vacation instead of in the mountains skiing. I highly recommend Spa Evo!

I had never used massage therapy as part of my recovery for triathlon training, but I’m so glad I started with Jen. For six years I’ve dealt with lower back pain on the bike. I decided to give it a shot one month out from a very important race. After each session (once a week) I felt better and could ride longer before feeling any pain. Because of Jen I was able to race pain free for the 56-mile TT as part of the triathlon and posted the fastest amateur bike split – something I’d never done at that level of competition and something I couldn’t have done without her help. I highly recommend using her not just once when the pain is the worst, but regularly so she can help you manage the pain and get to the root of the problem causing your pain. What I like best is that it isn’t just an awesome hot stone massage in and out, but she really takes the time to know you so she can send you home after each session with something to think about or do. If you’re an athlete you may have a coach that gives you your workouts, but Jen is your body’s coach that makes sure it is ready for the next workout.
