Common Questions about Spray Tanning

Will my Spray Tan be Orange or Streaky?

NEVER! I analyze your skin tone and then custom blend your color so your tan will look beautifully natural! Whether you want a light sun-kissed glow, or a deep dark color, your tan will never look fake because it is blended exclusively for your skin! Such a natural glow no one will know!

How Long Will My Spray Tan Last?

Your tan will last 7-10 days, depending on your skin type and how well you maintain it. Proper preparation and care before and after your tan will help your tan last longer and fade beautifully. If you use a professional tan extender, your tan can last up to 3 weeks!

What Do I Wear?

You can wear your own bathing suit or undergarments, or disposables that I have on hand. Women may disrobe completely if they so choose. (Sorry gentlemen, only the ladies have the option of ‘nothing’ during their spray tan) Minors must wear a top and bottom, so should bring their own garments. Please bring or wear dark, loose-fitting clothing for after you tan, and a loose snow boot or flip-flop, depending on the season. PLEASE wear no JEANS, TIGHT CLOTHING, TIGHT STRAPS, SOCKS, or CLOSED SHOES after your spray tan as these can affect your tan. I can’t stress enough bringing the proper clothing to wear after your tan if you want absolutely flawless results.

Is Your Solution Organic and Safe?

There is no such thing as a 100% organic spray tan, although other spray tanners may advertise their solution as organic. My solutions are some of the cleanest on the market. The active ingredient of DHA is Eco-certified, made from organic sugar beets, and contains no parabens. Eco-Certified means sustainable practices have been utilized in production and active ingredients are derived from natural sources.

The FDA suggests wearing protective eyewear, nose plugs, lip balm and undergarments during your spray tanning session to eliminate inhalation
or ingestion. Wearing these during your spray tan session is not mandatory and is up to your discretion. Should you elect to use them Elevation will have this protection available to you with our compliments for your Spray Tan application.

How does it Work?

DHA works by reacting to the amino acids found in the keratin layer of the skin. You will see beautiful color immediately upon application, but the development process takes 8-12 hours. Your tan will fade gradually as the skin naturally exfoliates over time.
