Preparing for Your Spray Tan
*Please note-Prep info below is ideal. I will walk you through prep when you schedule and make accomodations as needed to ensure you get a beautiful tan!
Products to Avoid: Dove, Curel, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Deodorant Soaps, Commercial Bar Soaps, Acne Products, Retinol or Fruit Acid Products
*Exfoliate a couple of times the week prior to your appointment. Regular exfoliation ensures a smooth, even, long-lasting tan. Do not shave or exfoliate the day of your tan.
*Moisturize morning and night with a cream-formulation moisturizer or a body butter. Regular moisturizing creates a healthy, glowing surface for your tan and helps it last. Hydrate your skin from the inside out by drinking lots of water! Do not moisturize the day of your tan
*Schedule Laser, Botox, or other skin treatments 2 weeks prior, Facials 1 week prior, waxing 48 hours prior and Mani-Pedis 1 day prior to your spray tan.
*Shave the day before your tan with a brand-new razor with no moisture strip. Exfoliate the day prior. Moisturize well. Do not shave or exfoliate the day of your tan.
DAY OF YOUR TAN
*Shower 2-4 hours before to your appointment. Pat dry. Apply no products of any kind to your skin!
*Bring or wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and flip-flops or a loose shoe to your appointment. No jeans, tight bras, socks or tight workout clothing.
* You can wear your own garments, my disposable thong, or nothing during the application. The solution does not stain clothing.
Special Tips for Brides
*Your tan will be customized not only to your skin tone, but to your dress, the season, and the specific location. These are all important considerations for a tan that will look as beautiful in photos as it does in person.
*Moisturize twice a day with a cream or body butter. Avoid alcohol based products, especially the week before your wedding. If you do not live here, please be aware of our extraordinary dry conditions and make sure to pay special attention to your skin the week before your wedding. Drink lots of water before you arrive and when you get here to ensure your skin is it’s glowing best!
*Schedule Laser, Botox, or other skin treatments 2 weeks prior, Facials 1-2 weeks prior, waxing 48 hours prior and manicures or pedicures one day prior to your spray tan.
